Trekking to Carding Mill Valley

Packed our hot drink, fruits and some crisps and went for our trekking at the Carding Mill Valley.  We have been there during March which was covered with ice and snow.  So started our journey at 4.00 p.m. in time for the sunset view over the hills.  Drove about 20 miles away from home and received a phone call from restaurant which need my son to work that night. So drove back to fetch my son to work.

By the time we sent our son to work, it was already 6.00 p.m. but my husband still drove us there. On the way to Carding Mill Valley, we saw the rows and rows of golden fields and it was an amazing sight that I have never seen before. These rolling golden fields were at Exfordsgreen, Shropshire.

We found a space to park our car and walk to the fields to take some photos. We do not have any permission to enter the field so we climbed over the gate into the field. The farmers were busy at the tractors and we were never been told off.

Enjoying an hour at these golden fields busy taking photos. We went back to our car to have some tea and coffee. We reached Carding Mill Valley around 8.00 p.m.  So trekking up to the hills but unfortunately it was late and there wasn't any tourists or locals around these hills. Trekking up the hills but it already 9.15 p.m. and my husband worry that it will get dark soon.

Instead of carry on we have to give up this trekking up the hills and leave for another day.  Carding Mill Valley are around 4,900 acres of heather-covered hills. There are bicycles treks and can enjoy camping or soaking into the swallow pools from the waterfalls.  During summer the waterfall not strong and some of the smaller pools were dried up.

Got back to our car and have some of our food and drove back to fetch our son from work.  Even this a short trip but I am very happy as I have never seen golden rolling fields before.
